A Great Source for All Things College, Career, and Beyond
NAVIANCE is an online college and career planning tool available at no cost to you as a City Schools’ student. This tool will help you learn more about yourself by assisting you in exploring careers and guides you, too, in creating plans and carrying out required and/or related tasks during your high school years. In addition, NAVIANCE is a college and career planning tool designed to help you develop important skills and increase the level of essential knowledge needed to accomplish your goals. And guess what? Your teachers, school counselors, college advisor, and family members can use NAVIANCE along with you as you follow the 7 Key Practices for Postsecondary Success.
NAVIANCE helps with…
You may have already heard or will soon hear your school counselor and/or college advisor talk about the NAVIANCE Scope & Sequence of Student Activities. This is simply a list of activities for you to complete at each grade level. Whether you are in 9th grade and are just starting to think about what you want to be when you grow up, a high school senior making plans for high school graduation, or in the middle-sophomore or junior year where you finally feel like you have a handle on high school, each NAVANCE activity will provide you with the information, resources, and tools to help you succeed.
From your introduction to NAVIANCE to exploring various careers and then to developing your resume and completing your college applications by mapping out your plan for completing each activity, you will be well on your way to college and career readiness success.
Alert: If you don’t have a NAVIANCE account or have forgotten your username and/or password, ask your school counselor or college advisor to help you out. They are easy to retrieve!
